The Palms is an architectural delight. Originally the site of one of Cape Town's first bakeries, the premises have an intriguing history. The building itself dates back to the first quarter of the last century when baker William Baumann built a factory to house two of his projects, Baumann's Biscuits and Duens Bread.
The Palms in Woodstock opened its doors to the public as a décor and lifestyle centre in 2000 and this enchanting historical building still radiates old world charm; combining old-world charm with a contemporary edge.
Many of the original trimmings and features were retained when architect Chris Bam redesigned the building, lending an industrial feel to what is now home to an array of modern lifestyle stores offering exquisite and unique products and services to please the most discerning shopper.
Spacious offices are home to well-known architects, fabric houses, creative people, property and real estate, designers, photographers, recruitment, consulting and travel & destination services.
We also offer different locations for hire; perfect for that special celebration, corporate and private events and even photo shoots and film productions. Woodstock is fast becoming a design hotspot and The Palms offers a one-stop destination for both your interior & exterior decor needs. “We offer world-class product and services” say Omnicape, proud owners of this unique centre.
The Palms is located two minutes from Cape Town in the heart of trendy Woodstock with easy access from town (Good Hope Centre), the N1 (Lower Church Street) and the N2 (Searle Street). And don't forget we have 300 covered parking bays.Back to Articles
