Never underestimate the power of paint
A tin of paint can magically transform your space. Whether it’s with colour or simply neatening up some old shelves, this is probably one of the simplest and most affordable options for you.

• Repaint old and yellowing outlets or light switch plates, bathtubs or curtain rails so that they are white again
• Consider an accent wall. Find an area in your apartment that has no windows or doors, and paint it one solid colour.
